Sean from EA has confirmed that Royal Troon is on disc and Colonial is DLC. When he said this, he also said there will be 3 Open Courses available, St. Andrews, Troon, and Royal Birkdale which hadn't been confirmed yet. He also gave us another DLC tidbit, TPC Boston will be available and has been rescanned, rebuilt, and completely updated. Said they took it out for a year to get it updated. Sweet!
Good news for those that don't like Fantasy Courses.....Sean from EA just confirmed that the 4 fantasy courses are all DLC. They will NOT be on disc.
So according to Sean on the EA boards, all but 3 courses from last years game made the cut for '14. There are 19 courses remaining from last years game that haven't been confirmed yet. Atlanta Athletic Cup Banff Blackwolf Run Celtic Manor Costa Navarino Crooked Stick East Lake Els Club Kiawah Island Liberty National PGA National Spyglass Hill Old White TPC Torrey Pines TPC San Antonio TPC Scottsdale Waialae Wolf Creek TPC River Highlands That means that 3 of those courses are NOT in the game (my pure guess is Banff, Celtic, an Waialae). Also, it means no Bay Hill in the game, which is a bit suprising. Why does it mean no Bay Hill? Because according to what has been confirmed in additional to the 16 courses above, makes the 44 courses as said by Sean. No room for additional 'returning' courses. No Harbour Town, Carnoustie, Bay Hill, etc.... Which is kind of a bummer....
Sean on the EA boards has confirmed Torrey Pines, East Lake, and Spyglass Hill are all in game ON DISC.
Last year was the first TW game I picked up for the next gen consoles. So I don't think I've played Spyglass since the PGA Tour game for the Sega Genesis
It's fun,hard,weird...there is a lot of elevation changes,some of the greens are very tiny,and most of the greens have some crazy undulations. Depends on how they let us setup tournaments,I might try to include Spyglass for the Pebble Beach tournament
More course information from Sean on the EA boards: Scottsdale is back as DLC (and according to Sean they've pumped up the atmosphere at #16). TPC San Antonio is back. Not sure if on disc or DLC. Crooked Stick ON DISC TPC River Highlands as DLC Waialae is gone...
That means that ONE of these courses is out, the rest are in. PGA National Kiawah Island Atlanta Athletic Club Costa Navarino Els Club Old White TPC Banff Celtic Manor My guess is that Celtic Manor is gone.
