So, I finally had time to sit and play a few rounds last night. I shot all 4 rounds of the Weekly Tournament at TPC Sawgrass. I managed to shoot: 1: -2 2: -3 3: -3 4: +3 That is MUCH better than my previous scores, though the swing difficulty was on Hard. Also, I have to brag: I managed to hit a hole in one in round 2 on hole 13. That's the first time I've ever aced a hole in TW. I was trying like crazy, but I couldn't catch Cheez, Keller or RynoAid in the standings. I thought I was going to get into 3rd, but ended up going to shit in the final round.
I just want to add: I've never been an avid "digital" golfer, but I really like TW13. My skill level is pretty low relative to most of you, but I am starting to be able to run really solid rounds on really tough settings. I just shot a -2 on Augusta in the Masters, on Custom settings (Tourny with Caddy turned off). If *I* can shoot negative rounds on hard settings, you bastards will be shooting -30's in a month. Just my $0.02.
I've played quite a bit of tiger over the past 2 years and still do not have a hole in one. Fuck. Nice work Shaun.
I need to get to the replay button faster so I can record it with my phone or something. I hit a hole in one and a LONG eagle (200 yards out) over the weekend, as well as a couple long putts I would have liked to share. Maybe I just need to setup the Haupauge.
Damn...chipping is just KILLING me on expert swing. CANNOT get a nice slow chip to save my life. I'm going to start putting from the rough.
I aced a Par 4 yesterday, was pretty excited... Even though it was from the Red Tees, I was using my driver The replay button sucks... How do you get it to replay more than once? I need to get at least 3 replays in a row to give me a chance to catch it on video, or maybe I should get my equipment set-up finally
Are you guys kidding? Holes in one were SO EASY last year in TW 12. I had 26 Aces. This year it is much more tougher, way more realistic.
Today's round at Valhalla kicked my ass.. worst round I've had so far in '13. And it was all because of 2 holes.. 13 & 14. On the island 13th, I shanked the approach and hit the rocks and went into the creek. But the 14th today was ridiculous with these conditions. the hole was put right on top of a 2 ft slope and you really couldn't get close. I think I ended up 10 putting that one.
Bout time you had a bad round. I'm tired of seeing all them -10 rounds, gets me all depressed before I even play. JK, I like that you'll be representing our CC at the top of the overall boards.
Nice play at Celtic Skinnie! Are you guys having no problem getting anything above slow on your shots? I think I did once on an approach shot. Are you clubbing up 1 more than normal to over compensate?
Thanks man... I still get slow too... But just barely slow. I really need to get a recording with some commentary up ASAP. I know I suck for not doing it yet, but it will be done this weekend
Slow doesn't really mean that your actual follow through is slow. Because it is such a fine line between slow and perfect, the game will recognize it as slow even if it's a good shot.
Excatly, I always hit my shots 'slow' with the swing at 'perfect' and it works pretty good at the Tournament level with no swing meter. The only problem I encounter once in a while is if my 'slow' swing is a tad too slow. It is less closer that the perfect swing so my ball will go way left even if the stick is flicked properly. But one friend of mine always plays Fast with an overswing and is playing solidly. Depends on what suits you better.
LOL! Not if I don't get this tempo figured out on putting Nice win the other day, good luck this season!
I had two aces on the Augusta par 3 course back to back. Never done that before. Sorry had to mention it was worth bragging about.
That's really good, especially with the new physics this year! Last year, I aced 5 holes in a row on that course....not this year though lol.
