I did it via a PM to CamleeEA... That usually works better. And everyone has the scorecard issue, so they know it is broken. I can't see my scorecard either
That is up for discussion... It is preferred to have only one try, but if this freezing thing is a problem, retries might have to be built in. Basically in a weekly event if you set two tries, it only gives you one extra attempt for all four rounds, so you have 5 total available. That might be a good compromise?
I think we can be a trustworthy community to not abuse the tries. I know my internet connection can be shaky at times (thank you comcast)
I couldn't really care less about this one, it's simply for gathering data. I like the weekly idea though.
More about the settings from CamleeEA... There actually is a problem with the website settings. I pressed a little after my last report, since the answer sounded fishy. They have found some issues and are working on them. Here is the response from EA... "We suspect an issue on the web side of the creation and are taking a look now. I will let you know what we find." Also, in the process of working thru this issue with them I got a list of the possible wind conditions for each settings... See below: Calm: 0-9 Breezy: 7-18 Windy: 14-27 Gale Force: 22-38 That is for the base value the gust can take it outside of those ranges Just for reference I will give you a heads up when I find out more... They are going to get back to me after they fix it. I think they have been helpful, because I didn't just go and post it on the forums as another bitch session, haha... Which has helped to get me a prompt response Until it is fixed, nothing we can do, except know that everyone will still have the same conditions, if they set the same thing on the website. So if we set breezy, we may actually all get calm, but we will all have the same settings, so no unfair advantage... In case it is not fixed before we start the season.
Dub and xyz are correct... Not that I doubted them, but it has been confirmed by Hands on EA. So time for me to work on my spin rating since it is at a lowly 35 still, haha
RynoAid SkinniePost JohnnyClutch I've updated the course condition spreadsheet in the first post for the next 4 tournaments( basically the some thing but in Valhalla). Please setup daily tournaments with those settings for the next 4 dailys Also if Scott can setup score recording sheet I'd appreciate it
xyzvld22 In the round scores spreadsheet, were the 50's, 60's, 70's, etc for the number of players who had their score in that range or their CAG rating? Hopefully it was how many had their score in that range as that is what I added up and put in there.
yeah this is correct.I want to the cell look at the range of scores and return the appropriate numbers.except I can't figure out how to work the countif function for just the ranges so i abandon it. if SkinniePost or anyone else wants to play with it and fix it,otherwise I'll look it it later.
I'll will get both spreadsheets together later today xyz can you further explain what you are looking to do with the formulas, I'm sure I can get them to work if I understand what you want
50's will count number of scores in the 50s for the round 60's will count number of scores in the 60s for the round 70's will count number of scores in the 70s for the round etc
I was surprised how well I did without the swing and putting meter, so I can adjust if those are off. The one thing I can't do without is the green grids though, maybe on Playstation 4 we'll be able to play without the grids, but not now. Sometimes I'll look at a putt and think its uphill but it's downhill and vice versa, so reading the breaks without the grid is no easy task and it also might take a lot longer to play a round trying to figure out the read. In this game one bad putt easily can lead to a 4 putt, so with no green grid I'll be 4 and 5 jacking all other the lot.
xyzvld22 it's a pain in the you know what, but try this: Where RANGE is your range of cells. Works in Excel...should work in google docs You'll have to do that once for each range. The example above for the 60s.
I'll be looking for some Head to Head matches later tonight so we can level up the Club if anyone wants to play. I'll have you know in my first 2 head to head matches I defended the Tradition Club with honor. I'll be bringing both of their heads on a 9 iron shaft and will display them in the front lawn by the Clubhouse entrance, see you in the Grill Room.
Finished the weekly at Pebble Beach. Shot an even round 72. I was -2 at one point after an eagle and fell to +3 due to a 4 putt. Putting is still my achilles but I hit over 90% of my fairways today. Starting to get the hang of this.
=COUNT(FILTER(C$6:C$63;C$6:C$63>=60;C$6:C$63<70)) That is what I would use... And the sheet is fixed now
Interesting results... Going to Tournament Swing Style has a much greater effect than turning off the meter. It actually looks like the meter made little to no difference in the average and median scores, but changing to Tournament swing from Tour Pro made a huge difference.
Wow, Valhalla is TOUGH with those pin positions. I can't remember how many times I missed the green and was left with a short chip in which I would proceed to blast it pass the hole (chipping pisses me off right now...still not used to it). Shot a +6...can't imagine what it's going to be like on Tournament.
