Started off with an insta-committ for TTU Mack has good Pursuit and great acceleration. He is a little slow but he should improve our linebacking corps.
Schroeder didn't come in quite as highly rated as we initially hoped, but his ability to open up holes in the running game should be beneficial if his pass blocking skills develop even decently. Rivera looks to be an absolute stud corner for us. He'll likely walk in and see some time as a true freshman.
My top 2 Guards are graduating so I need some depth. This guy is a wide body that should be able to play in a couple years.
Iowa State had a big opening week with three big insta commits. Terrance Burdette is the headliner. He cast his lot with ISU despite heavy, heavy pressure from coach JrRawlins. This was a major coup for ISU and hopefully will set the tone for this recruiting year. Will update with more info.
Jmustang1968 I didn't get to scout Cole before he committed, but I see that you offered him, is he any good?
Dont know... I only scouted him for 20 min, I think he was a -1 at 69 on my board. He was buried on my board, just fishing for interest with a scholarship
this year isnt starting off very well for me on the recruiting trail.... hopefully it turns around quickly.....
I didn't get him scouted as much as I would have liked, but he could be solid as long as he's not a huge bust. OMlawdog or Bondzai I saw you guys on his board as well, did either of you get him scouted at all?
Umm yeah I did. I had him scouted at 80%, but I didn't have strength disclosed either. He doesn't stay a 74, he dropped to a 68 which is still solid, I just didn't want to get into a fight over a OT that I could probably get elsewhere.
Cool, thanks. I figured he probably dropped, but I was holding out hope. 68 is still plenty good for me, especially if his pass block stays up.
The Jayhawks just locked up a pair of book end tackles...... Jeff Cook Tackle | Run Block Home San Leandro, CA Height 6-7 Weight 294 Caliber Rank #149 (#15 T) Justin Simpson Tackle | Run Block Home Fair Plain, MI Height 6-4 Weight 285 Caliber Rank #240 (#25 T) ill post their recruiting cards when i get home.....
Shit I meant agility and acceleration. Hopefully his coverage skills drop down to the 70s as well. What Im trying to say, is that I hope he sucks.
yeah, he is a huge get for us..... i am losing a senior at tackle.. so to get 2 of them is great... if i could only land a DT......
Picked up 3 more recruits this week. This is turning out to be a pretty solid class for us so far. Cummings should be solid in the middle of the field for us. At 6'4 239 height and ability to cover should help us control the middle of the field. His 95 acceleration combined with his block shedding should make him a force on blitzes as well. Johnson will likely give us some depth at the DT position if we manage to sign the ATH we're looking at plugging in at DT. If not, Johnson would work well in a 3-4 scheme if we are able to bring in the recruits to implement it in one of the next couple seasons. Clark is the most exciting recruit we've had in my time at Ole Miss by far. He's likely going to redshirt a year and learn from Bo Wallace before taking over the reigns as a RS Freshman. At 6'4, with that running ability and 84 Throw Accuracy, he's going to be a real force in the SEC for 4 years.
