After a tenuous first 25 minutes with neither team was able to get a clean shot on goal, Ciro Immobile electrified the home side with a powerful one-timer blast off a through ball from co-striker Marco Borriello that beat the offside trap.

Neither team was able to dominate play from there on out, as both central defenses swiped away virtually every through-ball attempt through the center of the field.

A desperate Minierio was able to push forward late and mount an attack through the right flank. Marcos Rocha had a half-step on his defender, which was content to give him a tight-angled shot towards the keeper. But Brazilian brilliantly placed his shot in the low corner by Sebastian Frey and the post to net the equalizer. 1-1 draw and both promotion candidates are left to rue the lost points.
